Storms are not the best environments to venture outside. However, they do present opportunities for photographers.

Storm Darragh has been causing havoc across the UK, with many areas flooded, disrupting travel and power lines. In South Yorkshire we have got off lightly.

The storm had subsided when I took the shot above, but the streets are still eerily quiet. I like good old-fashioned black and white shots to create mood.
