A wonderful weekend away in Lampeter for the annual Lampeter Society reunion. It’s always good to see old friends and make new ones too 🙂

Old Building, University of Wales, Lampeter.
Taken on my favourite Lampeter walk up to Castell Allt-Goch.
It’s a bit of a grey day today, so I thought I’d reflect that in the photograph. Stunning views across the valleys at the top though.

I visited Papplewick Pumping Station over the weekend for the annual steampunk gathering and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many photographers in one place. It’s fantastic to see the event grow from strength to strength over the years and explode in popularity.
Seriously, the photographers were almost outnumbering the cosplayers! So, what is it about steampunk that photographers love?

Kastani beach on Skopelos is a magical place. With crystal clear waters and golden sands it’s famous for starring in the Hollywood movie Mamma Mia.

Such a tranquil place to explore with great views from one of the oldest shrines to Aphrodite in the world.
I wasn’t the only one exploring the ruins of Cyprus today.
Every year, I make an annual pilgrimage to Kourion to explore the ancient Roman ruins. If you’ve not been, it’s well worth a visit if you’re interested in pottering around ancient temples, a theatre (fully restored and still used for open-air musical and theatrical performances), Roman baths and many other architectural wonders.
The butterflies were also exploring the ruins with me. I managed to capture this Swallowtail, which are quite common throughout the island.
