In nine weeks time, I’m hoping to do the Sheffield Half Marathon. I’ve decided to do a weekly vlog to record my journey and hold myself to account.
Here’s week two’s vlog where I give an update on my training and discuss the importance of heart rate zones.

It seems counter-intuitive to take a sunrise shot in black and white, rather than colour, but it’s always good to experiment.
Seeing things in a different way is what can make a photograph stand out, after all. Black and white is great for stripping a photograph back to simplicity. What do you think?

Anston Stones
As the snow bids farewell we are left with the promise of Spring. I may not miss the winter (when it does finally pass) but I will miss the amazing sunrises and skies it has given us.

With the snow and ice thawing (thankfully) I decided to chance getting the car out. There was a blanket of mist this morning down Anston Stones, adding a ghostly sheen to the skyline.
This area of land has been rebranded as the ‘Dinnington community woodland’ but for local people who grew up in the 80s and earlier it’s still known colloquially as the “Pit Top.” Dinnington pit officially closed in 1991.


The sky was on fire today 🙂
Do you keep your old sketch books?
By sketch books, I mean the place where you doodle and practise new techniques. I don’t necessarily mean the works that you’re supremely proud of and show to your friends, or post on social media.
