
Photo of the day (Tudor Square)



I managed to get out early this morning, but there was no chance of a sunrise shot. The February gloom persists persists, making for a grey and misty shot.
Despite the murk, I like how the mist has a layering effect on the landscape. The deeper you get into the scene the more nebulous the landscape becomes.
Every season in the UK has its own beauty.


I thought we’d got through the UK’s cold spell and Spring was on its way.
I was wrong!



Is there a word for someone who likes taking pictures of clouds? Nephophile? Cloudographer? Daydreamer, perhaps?!



It seems counter-intuitive to take a sunrise shot in black and white, rather than colour, but it’s always good to experiment.
Seeing things in a different way is what can make a photograph stand out, after all. Black and white is great for stripping a photograph back to simplicity. What do you think?
